Stimuli # 2 The Tale of a Fairy 2011 motion picture, Walter Films, France

In short film of Lagerfeld, to introduce the Chanel Cruise 2011 collection. I'm attracted to the luxurious context and gorgeous clothes. ‘White’ color same like color represents wealth, the white buildings, the white clothes, so on. Three rich girls wear white clothes make them more beautiful and luxurious, show upper social classes. Their lifestyles are also different.

Look at the general, the viewers can think that the three main girls on films have everthing in the world. But behind that aura, are mental pain. This film wants to show that sometimes, wealth and reputation doesn't make people happy.

Stimuli # 4 Moffat, T 1994, Scarred For Life

In Moffatt’s artwork, it is always relate with her memories when she was a kid. The photographs printed on white wove paper was a smooth matt surface then.

When I saw these photos, the things that I focus on the most is expressions and actions of the people appeared in the photo. It describes a society where human values ​​are divided into many different classes, even in the family. For example, ‘The Wizard of Oz’, this name remind me about the children film, it shows similarities between Dorothy (main character on film) and Tracey Moffatt. They are little girls oppressed by cruel societies and always hope that they can find a new happy life. As the photo of Moffatt, a little girl must bow before her father with a frightened expression same like the relationship between a master and a servant.

Many issues of race, gender, sexuality and identity has always become a focus that is most interested by a lot of people at the moment in the media. Gender equality and domestic violence in many countries have been significantly improved but somewhere these issues has always existed.
